We are not a YIFF HUB. Burnt Offerings is located in FurN for Mature Subject Matter including violence, vampires and so on. Private rooms are for community characters only.
As this is a STRICT canon community, characters must be approved for entry.
CANON UNIVERSE:
All characters must follow the guidelines and rules laid out by our universe. These guidelines are available upon request, and are concrete. As we are set in the present world set with humans -- sorry, no furries, nekos or anthros. Lycans are in human form until shifted.
FORMAT:
Burnt Offerings runs under a para/semi turn-style roleplay. OOC posts must be done in [brackets], except for in the OOC/Idle room. To move to the OOC/Idle room, say !afk.
1. All characters, regardless of species, wishing to remain long term to play in this dream, must speak to the Master of the City for sanctuary. Do not expect to ignore preternatural politics and courtesies.
2. As this is a preternatural sanctuary, slayers, assassins and hunters are not welcome. When a position like this is in need, a player of authority will fill the role.
3. Characters engaging in illegal activities will not be welcome. Criminal action will result in consequences from the proper authorities.
4. No sexual activity (Including the arduer) or fighting in the bar: Fighters will either be ejected or kicked to the arena to sort out their problems, and given a warning. Those just looking for conflict will be warned, and ejected if they do not desist. Sexual activity must be kept in private rooms.
5. No Holy Items. Silver is discouraged. A bouncer will check any and all weapons at the door unless you have a dispensation from the Master of the City.
6. Due to FDA health restrictions, blood and raw meat is not served at the bar. Pomme de sangs will be available on call.
7. Pomme de sangs are not your personal steaks. Mistreatment of PS's will be dealt with severely.
8. Don't go out of your way to destroy Burnt Offerings property, or you will find yourself dealing with the Master of the City for renumeration in the manner of her choice.
9. This dream is NOT NC. All death and disfigurement require consent from said player. Players have rights to ignore any RP they did not consent to.
10. The Arena is available for public and private fights. In the event that fight outcome may effect group standings, event must be overlooked by an authorized staff member. All publicized arena events must be overlooked by a referee. If the results of a fight are contested by either party, a log file should be sent to the Dream Owner, who will lay final decision.
11. There are NO ROGUES in New Orleans. Don't claim your character was 'attacked by a rogue' within the city. Don't claim you have been in the city 'undetected'. Period. A list of New Orleans supernaturals can be found here.
1. YOU ARE NOT ABOVE THE RULES. Do not abuse power, or it will be taken from you immediately. Do not assume your position gives you full authority over everyone. Do the job that was assigned to you. If a legitimate complaint is lodged against you, you will be given a warning, and follow up instances will result in ejection, termination of employment or banishment, to be given at owners discretion.
2. It is part of your job to maintain format and rules:
● If a character is not in accordance with the dream standards, don't ignore this! Rules need to be read by new players before they initiate RP.
● Keep track of post order and maintain it as such. Please have it on hand for those asking.
● Follow standard RP Etiquette. Let people post their entry before you enggage them ICly.
● Don't idle in populated areas -- go to the AFK room (!afk)
● We should not be waiting half an hour for you to churn out a semi-para.
